Can a non-lawyer be involved in a law firm?

Not as an owner, and not through fee sharing. We provide business services to attorney-owned firms in a structure that complies with the Rules of Professional Conduct. We review the specifics with you and your counsel before anyone commits.

Who handles the legal work?

You do. Legal advice, client decisions, conflict checks, and trust accounting stay with you and your attorneys. We work on the business side of the practice.

Do I have to switch my software?

No. We work in the drafting, case management, and billing software you already use when it does the job. If something is holding you back, we'll talk it through before changing anything.

What are the terms?

California prohibits fee sharing with non-lawyers, so our usual revenue share doesn't apply to law firms. We use a structure that complies with the Rules of Professional Conduct, and we review it with you and your counsel, in writing, before anyone commits.

How is this different from a law firm marketing agency?

An agency sells you leads and gets paid either way. We work on the whole path from first call to signed engagement to paid invoice, plus hiring, in a structure built around the rules for law firms.
