For handyman business owners

Be the one they call. Add the second tech.

We work alongside established handyman businesses on repeat customers, scheduling, the office, and hiring, so growth doesn't all run through you.

What changes

You've built a list of customers who trust you. Now the business needs to grow without you on every job and every call.

Here's what we take on with you.

  • Today: Calls go to voicemail while you're on a ladder, and the homeowner books someone else.

With Framework: Every call and web lead answered in minutes, including after hours and on weekends.

  • Today: Small jobs take as long to quote as they do to finish.

With Framework: Price guides for common jobs and same-day quotes, so small jobs still make money.

  • Today: A day of six jobs zigzags across the Bay.

With Framework: Jobs grouped by neighborhood, so the day has less driving and more work.

  • Today: Happy customers call once, then lose your number.

With Framework: Follow-ups, reminders, and review requests bring homeowners back with the next list.

  • Today: Invoices and the last check get chased at night.

With Framework: Payment at the job, clean books, and an office process that runs without you.

  • Today: You want a second tech, but hiring someone for customers' homes feels like a gamble.

With Framework: We help you plan the hire around the numbers, then recruit, screen, and train.

What we work on

You know the work. We help build everything around it.

  1. 01

    Repeat customers

More homeowners who call you for every job on the list.

    • Google Business Profile, reviews, and search campaigns
    • Door hangers and Nextdoor in the neighborhoods you already serve
    • Follow-ups that bring past customers back with the next list
    • Property manager outreach when the schedule is steady
    • Referral program for existing customers
  2. 02

    The office

The calls, quotes, and scheduling that decide whether a lead becomes a job.

    • Phone and chat coverage, so leads get a fast answer
    • Price guides for common jobs and same-day quotes
    • Scheduling that groups jobs by area
    • Review requests after every job
  3. 03

    Billing and job scope

Getting paid for the work, and keeping every job inside the right limits.

    • Card on file and payment at the job
    • Clear scope on every quote, inside your license or the state limit
    • Insurance review, so you know what's covered in a customer's home
    • Clean books and a monthly view of revenue and margin
  4. 04

    Hiring techs

When the schedule is full, the next truck needs a tech you'd trust with your customers.

    • A hiring plan tied to the schedule and revenue
    • Job posts, screening, and interviews
    • Skills checks across carpentry, drywall, fixtures, and small repairs
    • Ride-alongs, training checklists, and customer handoff

Where growth comes from

Repeat homeowners, bigger jobs, and the second tech.

In a handyman business, growth is rarely one big campaign. It comes from homeowners who call you for every job, property managers with steady work, and a second tech when your schedule is full.

  • More repeat customers, so each new homeowner is worth more than one job
  • Jobs grouped by area, so less of the day goes to driving
  • Small jobs priced to make money
  • A path to a B or B-2 license when larger work makes sense
  • A second tech and truck, planned around the numbers

How it works

From first conversation to a plan in writing.

  1. 01

    Tell us about the business

What you do, how long you've done it, and what's in the way. About three minutes.

  2. 02

    Talk it through

Where the business is and where you want it to go. We can look at the numbers together.

  3. 03

    Get a plan in writing

What we'd work on, what we'd put in, and the terms. Nothing is agreed until it's in writing.

  4. 04

    Build it together

We work with you on customers, systems, and hiring, and track progress against the plan.

The terms

We only earn on the growth we help create.

Our fee is a share of the incremental revenue above where your business is today. If revenue doesn't grow, we don't get paid. The exact terms are in writing before anyone commits.

Who we work with

Handyman businesses with loyal customers and room to grow.

  • An established handyman or home repair business in the Bay Area, working within the state limit or under a B or B-2 license
  • A base of repeat homeowners or property management accounts
  • A reputation you've earned with customers
  • Want to grow beyond what you can run yourself
  • Open to changing how things get done

What you don’t need

  • You don't need a team.
  • You don't need a marketing plan.
  • Your books don't need to be perfect.

We care about what you've built and where you want to take it.

Questions

Questions from owners

Straight answers. If yours isn't here, email us.

Do I have to switch the software I use?

No. We work in the software you already use when it does the job. If something is holding you back, we'll talk it through before changing anything.

I work alone. Is that too small?

Not necessarily. Many owner-operators have a full schedule and no time to grow it. Tell us about the business and we'll say plainly whether we can help.

Do I need a contractor license?

Not to talk with us. We work inside the limits that apply to your business today. If larger jobs make sense, we'll plan a path to a B or B-2 license with you.

What are the terms?

A share of the incremental revenue we help create, above where your business is today. We put the exact terms in writing, and nothing is agreed until you've said yes.

How is this different from a handyman marketing agency?

An agency sells you leads and gets paid either way. We work on the whole path from call to quote to finished job to paid invoice, plus hiring, and we only earn when revenue grows.

What does it cost to talk?

Nothing. The first conversation is free, with no obligation.
